Worn springs: 

Almost all types of garage door operate with the help of torsion or extension springs. These springs help door to open and close properly. They are always under constant pressure and the sudden breakdown of these springs makes you door inactive. Normally the torsion springs is found at both sides of the door and extension springs are mounted above the roller track. If the springs are screeching at the time of opening and closing, you need to apply light lubricant. In case if you find the springs or worn or in case if the screech continuous even after applying the lubricant, you may need to call a professional to fix it, because tampering or repairing springs yourself can be very dangerous.


Worn cables: 

Generally, the metal cables are connected to the bottom of the door on both sides. If you notice worn cables, you should replace it immediately. You shouldn’t wait until the cable breaks and door become inactive. You can get a professional help to change the metal cables of your garage door.
